During the prequel trilogy, we learn that the predecessor to the Imperial stormtroopers are all clones. Are the stormtroopers of the original trilogy still clones? If not, where do they come from? I have been watching Game of Thrones and was wondering what type of armor do the brothers of the Night's Watch wear?

I read this story in the last 10 years. It is a scifi short story, probably published in Giganotosaurus or some other sci fi short story collective. Definitely published online. The story is kind of like "The Entire History of You" from Black Mirror, where people's whole lives are recorded by small devices. Except the conceit in this story is that everyone's "talent" at different things (think... everything from juggling to cooking) is ranked, and social value and popularity is derived from this. So this leads to a bunch of people trying to find the obscure thing that they can climb the rankings in (I seem to remember the protagonist was at one point in the top 500 Male jugglers under 30 or something like that). Then one day, he has sex, and is suddenly the number 1 Male Lover in the world. I think this happens, at least. Later on, he finds a community who has given up the devices, and finds joy in doing things even though they aren't the best at them. I...

In Avatar: The Last Airbender, Aang's eyes glow when he goes into the Avatar State. This seems to be the case with all Avatars, but Aang and the other airbending Avatars tattoos glow too. Is there any reason for why airbending Avatars tattoos glow as well as their eyes? Answer Air Nomad tattoos glow when in the Avatar State because they follow chi lines in the body. This has been stated by the Creators in DVD Comments of "Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang". As they run along chi paths, the Air Nomad tattoos of an Avatar will glow when they enter the Avatar State.

A boy, on a trip to a futuristic zoo with his father, suffers an accident involving a gorilla. He is rushed to surgery. After a futile attempt, the surgeon informs the boy's father that he was unable to save the boy's arm, but that: he still has two "good" arms remaining. The mutation is the result of a nuclear war. Any direction is appreciated. By way of further information, I am a high school librarian, and one of my students is a voracious consumer of Sci-Fi. I've fed him much of what I have, but we were talking about how I started to read Sci-Fi, and this was the story that started it all. It introduced me to the genre and also the beauty of a well-written short story.

I read this story a couple of years ago but can't seem to find it since.It's a short story. The story starts with a programmer debugging a program and not being able to find the bug. Frustrated, he decides to disassemble the program and look at the assembly and found instructions that can't possibly come from the original source code. He then looks at the compiler for the source of the bug and even recompiles the compiler but the alien code still managed to make it into the program. Then he decides to actually see what the alien code does and finds that it's trying to do something simple like adding two numbers but doing it in a completely non-intuitive way. He concludes that no human would do it that way and starts suspecting a virus. Later he finds alien code everywhere from the compiler (not in the source of the compiler) to the assembler to the OS down even to the router in his office at which point he begins to suspect that the alien code may even be part or the CP...

I recently saw Fantastic Four 2015 and I noticed that it did not include a Stan Lee cameo. As I thought about it, I think that the: 1989 Captain America movie. 1990s Fantastic Four B movie. Howard The Duck. the various Punisher movies. the 1940s Captain America short films might be examples of other Marvel movies that did not include Stan Lee cameos. So what determines whether or not Stan Lee does a cameo? And what is the list of Marvel movies which did NOT include a Stan Lee cameo? I know that Fantastic Four is produced by Fox and is not part of MCU, but I am imagining that there is more to the answer than just that.
