Why there has been no mobile visual transmission device (remote camera to the bridge) with the away team in Star Trek series?

In Star Trek, ships can communicate visually between them, video communication between captains is quite common, even from a great distance.

On the other hand, a mobile visual transmission device (remote camera to the ship) did not seem to exist. It did not appear possible for the captain to see what is happening on the planet or nearby ship.

They tried something close with La Forge's VISOR, but it never went anywhere.

Why didn't The Doctor or Clara recognize Missy right away?

So after it was established that Missy is actually both the Master, and the "woman in the shop" who gave Clara the TARDIS number... ...why didn't The Doctor or Clara recognize her right away? I remember the Tenth Doctor in The Sound of Drums stating that Timelords had a way of recognizing other Timelords no matter if they had regenerated. And Clara should have recognized her as well...
